I personally would never use it, but there's something appealing about Mason on a girl. It's cute and spunky, yet not super masculine in sound. Plus, she could go by Mae/May. However, it's in the top ten for boys, and is very much a male name in terms of use, whereas a name like Bailey or Riley is used pretty much equally on either gender.

I think this is a very cute name for a girl, but a problem is that it is a top ten boy's name.

But this is super cute for a Southern girl because of the "Mason Dixon" connection. I just can't get with Maecyn, Maycin, and all that other trashiness.

I read a book that's female protagonist was named Mason Starling....I don't hate boys names on girls, but that is just a clear sign of trying to hard.

The "creative" spellings are really irking me on a spiritual level.
