The Top Baby Names of 2025 Are Here!

Meet the top baby names of 2025: Olivia and Liam, again! This is the seventh straight year Olivia has held the top spot, and the ninth consecutive year for Liam.

The most popular baby names for 2025 in the US are calculated by the Social Security Administration.

The biggest Top 10 shakeup of the year is Eliana ranking Number 10, up from Number 18 in 2024. In recent years, many of the new entrants to the Top 10 have cross-cultural appeal, which is true for Eliana. It's a popular choice among parents with Hispanic and Jewish backgrounds, among others. Elsewhere on the girls' side, Charlotte rose two spots, moving Emma and Amelia each down a rung. Sophia and Sofia rose one place each.

There are no new names in the boys' Top 10. The four most popular names maintained their positions, and three sets of names switched places: Henry and James, Elijah and Mateo, and William and Lucas.

Here are the new 2025 Top 10 baby names with their positions relative to last year:

Fastest-Rising Names of 2025

The fastest-rising names are propelled by two starbabies: Klarity — daughter of musicians Kash Doll and Tracy T — and Kasai, son of actress Skai Jackson. The long I sound is especially fashionable in boy names right now. In addition to Kasai, boy names Eziah, Jasai, Syaire, and Kyaire were among the fastest-rising choices.

Girl names ending in the "lani" sound continue to trend. Ailanny, Naylani, Kailany, Aylani, and Meilani were some of the fastest-risers in 2025. These Hawaiian-style names are disproportionately common among Spanish speakers in the US, who also favor boy names with the "ei" vowel cluster, seen in rising choices Neithan and Eithan.
