Gabbsgarden Says:

I named my son Cosmo because I love studying and photographing the stars. Everyone loves his name. A few old fashioned people raise their eyebrows but it doesnt bother me. And people make the Seinfeld connection, the Fairly Odd Parents connection, even the BYU mascot one. But again I shrug it off and people move on.

We call him Coz for short or Cozy (pronounced cause-ee) for cute. Hes about 6 months now and people are starting to say how he seems like a Cosmo. I think they are just getting used to it. I wanted a unique name with a lot of meaning. I love it!

Mhollen Says:

My son who is currently 16yo is named Cosmo, but I did give him two >> normal? middle names Donovan Alexander...heh just in case, as he got older he didn't care for his first name. I've asked him over the years if he cared to switch, but not once has he ever had an issue at school or with his friends. And everyone he meets easily remembers his name upon second meeting, which we can't all say that! But I will say I prefer unusual names, and to my understanding it meant Peace and Order, and he being my 2nd child, my first being a true trial, I really needed Peace and Order, and he was the BEST infant anyone could have hoped for, not so much in the teenage years, but I do love him! The only thing I would change would be the Seinfeld connection, lol, I never watched that show, but everyone assumes I got the idea from there, ugh, however I did enjoy the Cosmo Topper films! In parting if you are looking for a memorable, unique name for a boy, that should guarantee a happy baby that lets you sleep through the night, look no further!

I would like it too, but like you said, the show "Fairly Odd Parents" makes me think of the dumb acting Character Cosmo in the show straight away. Yet, still adorable for a puppy
