Newest Babyberries: The quarterly report
Time again for one of my absolute favorite activities—rounding up the names that Berries have chosen over the past three-month period. These are the winning picks after all the options were weighed– so often the result of enlightened discussions with and suggestions from fellowberries.
Today’s Quarterly Report includes an even more than usual range of fabulous choices, for both singletons and multiples–and we often get to see the sibsets these newbies fit into.
We also have some multiples of our own: three Spring babyberries each named Ivy and Miles, and two each called Charlotte, Cora, Eloise, Jasper, Leo, Oliver and Samuel. Plus the similar but differently spelled Alice and Alys, Eleanor and Elinore, Mathilde and Matilda, Vivien and Vivienne, and Edmond and Edmund.
Some of the more intriguingly unusual choices: girls named Bennett , Connelly and Greyson, boys named Hawthorne and Jones, and distinctive middle names Sherlock, Capri, Dover, Huckleberry, and Adventure.
First the girls:
And here are the boys:
Nassem, brother of Rusha and Tarek
Sullivan Nathan, brother of Sawyer Nadeau

Welcome to the world, all of you fabulously named little ones!

Oh, I absolutely love Tallulah! All of these names are perfect. 🙂

I love the following:
Auguste Rene- Streamlined, elegant, masculine; beautiful.
Barnaby Ivan Fisher, brother of Tobias Rowley Quentin and Mabel Juniper Elsie- ALL stunning and unexpected pairings
Vesper Irene, sister of Cora Adelaide- I love Vesper. Never hear this name- even on Nameberry. Bowled me over, this one!
June Petra, sister of Camille Volusia- Especially love the sister’s name here. Volusia reminds me of billowing fabric. Maybe because of its similarity to ‘voluptuous’?
Victor Huckleberry- Such a serious first name with such a whimsy second. They work so well together and would never have paired these two. Not sure on either name separately but as a pair they just win me over.

This is my favorite post, too! I loved seeing my own daughter on there months ago, and I love seeing all these new little ones now. Welcome to the world, babies, and congrats to all of the parents! Babies are great, even when they’re not.

I agree, they’re my favorite posts too — Linda is the one who stays on top of all the new babyberries and compiles the quarterly list. I am so impressed with all these gorgeous gorgeous names and proud that Nameberry played some part in their being chosen! Like Miss Rumphius — great children’s book — makes me feel like we’re helping make the world a little more beautiful.
Speaking of beautiful — fixed your children’s names, Frenchie, and also finally added Mazarine to our database. Just love it and all your names.

So many lovely names! I do have to say though, I LOVE the sib-set of Wrenly, Elliott and Maddox. I also love the family who chose to name a twin Tuesday! I would mention most of the names but obviously you can just look above and see. Can’t wait to name our baby!

So many great names on here! Kind of disappointed to see a few of the very manly, macho names on the girls side, but things like Cora and Alice for twins and Demetria are so nice to see! I love Demetria!
Edmond / Edmund is such a nice surprise to see on the boys side, I love to see Berries boys – people here seem OK with branching out more.

Greyson, Wren, Bennett and Reese on girls are terrible.

Caspian Sage Adventure is brother to Saylor and Clover (not John Saylor).
I know a girl Bennett and I like it. I know several girls named Reese (hello Reese Witherspoon). I think Reese is a unisex name. And I believe Wren is traditional a girls name…

What a creative, interesting bunch of names, and it’s fun to see all of the international influences, particularly all these French names! Bravo, name-givers.
But, I do want to call out some of my favorite sibling names – Christabel Juliet, Coraline May, George Quincy, Frances Jemima, Tobias Rowley Quentin & Mabel Josephine Elsie (way to go, mama!), Claire Eloise, Theodore Milo, and Bridget Isobel. Awesome!

Absolutely adore Berenice Ione Cecile! Agnes Josephine Bliss is also beautiful.
Intrigued and surprised by the use of the word vigueur (vigor/force)as a name and would love to know the inspiration!

Wren is a girl name and I know the cutest Wren. I love it.

I so enjoy these posts! So many great names, and it’s always fun to see which names are used in “real life.”
I love the sibset of Tobias Rowley Quentin, Mabel Juniper Elsie and Barnaby Ivan Fisher!! I also have a soft spot for Peregrine Wesley Donald, saracita00’s baby boy. I tracked his naming journey almost from the very beginning. I hear they’re calling him Pippin!

These are my favorite posts too! So many gorgeous names! Some of my favorites are Zelda, Lucinda, Bruno, Victor, Agnes, and Rex. And Karen, Jeremy, Howard and Berenice are all so refreshing to see! The variety of the names is fantastic.

Spyridon Sherlock is, hands down, the most kick-ass name on the face of the planet. If that kid doesn’t become a superhero or similar, that would be a giant tragedy.
I love this parent and can’t wait to see what they do next!
Also, loving the bold choices everyone has made!

Daytona’s (sister to Zabryn) mn is Joette, not Jonette.
Some really impressive names on this list.

I love Harriet Winifred and Ivy Beatrix! Sawyer Francis is cool. And I have always loved the German spelling “Mathilde” rather than plain Matilda.
on July 13th, 2012 at 7:00 pm
There was a Rachel Marie born? That’s my name, I’m so excited to see it!
on October 18th, 2012 at 8:52 pm
I know I’m late in posting, but I have to say for the record June’s full name is June Petra Pearl. The “Pearl” is for my grandmother, an amazing woman, so I don’t want it left out:). SO many other great names on the list!
