I met a girl named Hendrix! It threw me off at first, but now I think it's actually pretty on a girl. And if a girl named Hendrix wouldn't like having a "boy name" her parents could give her a more feminine middle name to go by. But the Hendrix i met was really cool and went by her first name. Of course, it's a great name on a boy. Love the nickname Henry

i would name by boy Hendrix Baines, Hendrix for Jimi, and Baines is actually my girlfriends grandads last name.

Among all the musician namesake name possibilities like Lennon, Presley, Bowie etc., I would say that Hendrix has the best aesthetically pleasing sound and look out of the whole lot. The -x elevates the name in cool status, even without the Jimi association. Even if you were a fan of the musician, I would say this is better as a middle name for a kid though, and I definitely much prefer it on a boy than a girl.

I have a major change of heart now because I would totally use this in the middle for a girl. I want to do something like Lia Hendrix. I love Jimi Hendrix so much so I would absolutely use this name, both genders!
