What a beautiful name.

I find this to be a lovely, more unusual variant of Catherine- it sounds sleek and graceful, just rolling off your tongue when said out loud, and it strikes me as being both elegant and spirited. My first association with it is the Catalina Islands off the coast of California; it's definitely one of the prettier place names out there and really deserves to be more popular, being a long girly name that isn't overly flowery and fussy.

Waiting for Catalina to usurp Isabella at the top.

It sounds pretty but all I can think of is the dressing and an RL Stine book I read about an evil car called Cataluna.
