Does anyone else think it's weird that "sex appeal" is on the description? Weird thing to consider when naming a child.

Nico only means "victory."

Nico means "victory.'' If it was Nicolai or Nicolas then it would mean "victory of the people."

Nico actually means "victory,'' not "victory of the people.''

I love Nico/Niko, but I prefer it as a nickname for Nicolai/Nikolai.

Adore the 'Niko' spelling as a nickname for Nikomedes.

At first I didn't really like this name as it didn't appeal to me (which was when I was a lot younger) but it has really grown on me. I really like it.

I am strongly considering this name for my son, because I love its meaning "victory of the people", he will be Italian, and just think it sounds cool :) , but my mother doesn't like it at all - Oh well, it's my baby!!

Love this but my name is Niki so it could get confusing sometimes.

I agree with you. I love Nico but it's too short for me. I don't really like Nicholas but I love Nicolai and Nico is a great nickname.

My only caveat is that this name is too informal on it's own. Maybe I'd stretch it to Nicolai/Nikolai for the birth certificate. The supercool Hungarian version Miklos isn't on Nameberry yet :(
