As one, I say name her Kate, not Katie if you're not looking for a "formal name" to get to this nickname. Use sweet and friendly Katie as the nickname for Kate. Your future 30 year old will thank you

Alexander Bolton Says:

Top of my list at the moment

paulapuddephatt Says:

Lovely name. I love both Katie and Kate, and even though I like Catherine/Katherine, I don't think you need to start with that name, if you want to use Katie/Kate. They work well enough as independent names.

Katie Says:

Wow thanks

JazzDeSaturn Says:

Katie is a pretty name. IMO it is traditional enough to shake the few bad apples who share it.

Hydra Says:

You mean that idiots name is Katie? Wow. I actually did not expect that.

cabosanmucus Says:

The irony is Katie Hopkins thinks she's the utmost authority of names, and in my eyes "just" names (nickname names, most of them) like Katie aren't all that smart either. then again she's the one who didn't know India was a country and not a name.

jasminegarden Says:

I'm British so I know who she is. She isn't the only person with the name and she wasn't born Katie either. Trying to cause arguments out of nowhere, are we?

steampunkleo Says:

one person does NOT ruin a name like Katie. It IS a lovely, simple name, and please stop trying to ruin beautiful names for other people over stupid reasons

MonaBerry Says:

Google Katie Price.
Not such a 'lovely, simple' name anymore, huh?
