Arian is also the word for 'silver' in Welsh, which has a much nicer connotation I think! And it's pronounced slightly differently here - a short 'ah' sound to start instead of 'air' or 'are'

Arian is my brother’s name. Yes, the same pronouncation. No, please do not associate it with the aryan race. I think that was one of his biggest pet peeves.

It's still basically the same name. Do people need to use it so badly that they're trying to find a less racist variation?? It shouldn't even be considered in the US and Europe.

It's still pronounced the same as Aryan so I'm not sure how it's all that much better.
