I always think of Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World when I hear this name- maybe that's why I like it so much.

BayleighWelch23 Says:

This is my little brother's name, well his middle name, but he goes by this. His first name is Arthur and he's 13 so you can see why he wouldn't necessarily want to go by that. I prefer this spelling personally. He's named after my dad, and they both go by this, so yeah. My parents might be a little offended by nameberry because of what its says about my brothers name and my name, Bayleigh, it also says something about how its too complicated and just stick to the original spelling Bailey, but i prefer the way my name is spelled actually. I take no offense personally, everyone can have their own opinions, but i prefer both names spelled these ways:)

Shawn Roy Says:

i agree. my name is shawn. and I hate people spelling it Sean. every where i go. and they ask me my name. they spell it wrong. but in the 90s. they spelled it right. i grew up with an friend who spelled it shaun. i just like shawn or shaun millions times more then Sean.

I do not think this spelling feminizes the name AT ALL! I prefer it over the "Sean" spelling.
