Since I'm half Dutch and grew up there, I like this name but there's a lot of Dutch boys out there with it.

It's not just a Dutch-origin name. Also a name in Catalan, Polish and in Devon, England.

I love this name. It's masculine without being overly so and when pronounced like Yahn, it sounds so exotic and sophisticated. It's my grandfather's name (pronounced like the Brady Bunch character) and another favorite relative's name (pronounced Yahn). If given to a son, I would pronounce it Yahn with the occasional nickname Jack (since they're both versions of John).
