This is my second's daughter's name. It's beautiful and strong. We call her Lexi or Lex for short, not Alex which sounds more masculine.

I love this name! I wouldn't pick a name just for the nicknames, but look at the possibilities :)
Aria, Ally, Alex, Lexie--even Zandie, if you want, just to name a few! I'm most definitely using Alexandria for first or middle name if I ever have a daughter. I think it's strong and feminine. And a great name she can grow into.

Well, there are about a dozen nicknames you can use in the name Alexandria! :D
And I like long names. I understand too many people don't understand long names when they read them, but it's really not that difficult. It's in my top 3 :)

This name in my eyes looks so much more appealing than Alexandra, sure she might from time get called Alexandra, but this name is still popular so that doesn't really bother me.

The inner book and history nerd within me would probably make this a middle name because of The Library of Alexandria.

I totally agree. Alexandra is lovely, and I also like Alexa, Alexia and even Alessia, but this 5-syllable version feels overblown.

I like this name a lot more than Alexandra. I'm worried that 5 syllables is too much though. I never realised it was so popular! It's a very exotic name :)

I think it sounds too fussy.

Love this name, wanted to name son Alexander but didn't. I did however for my daughters middle name.

IDK why, but I just think that Alexandria sounds so much fresher than Alexandra.
