Place names are one of the biggest baby name trends of the 2020s, with global city names strongly represented. The trendiest among them are the names of Italian cities, with Florence, Rome, and Milan each significantly increasing in use. Other international city names on the rise include Santiago, Vienna, London, Nairobi, and Cairo.

Each name comes with a unique flavor and flair influenced by both the sounds in the name and the city itself. Alexandria and Odessa read traditional and formal, while Berlin and Oslo‘s vibe is cool and modern.
