Noémi is the French and Hungarian version of Naomi, as well.

We say my daughter's name No-em-ee, but while in Mexico, they stressed the last syllable, so it was No-em-EE.

I prefer this to Naomi. However, I worked with one girl named this and barely anyone pronounced it correctly. I might be put off by the amount of confusion I've seen in real life and demonstrated in this thread.

Hmmm well Spanish is my first language. We say no-EH-mee, or no-eh-MEE if it is spelled Noemí. But it's never pronounced (in spanish) with the "AY" sound in the middle.

Like the others, I'm looking for the pronunciation. I have always thought it was no-emmi. Looks like I'm wrong.

Thank you, that's interesting. I think I prefer the latter but mainly because the first one sounds like 'No Amy' but I suspect I'm struggling to put the emphasis on the correct syllables.

Depends on the origin - French v Spanish, etc. but No-ay-me or No-eh-ME.
