Yes! That was the first encounter I had with the name Major. Brings a different level of “cool.”

Awkward when meeting a Magnus or a Maximus/Max. Magnus means great, Major means greater and Maximus means greatest.

iZombie, anyone? I love the character, but not sure I'd use this as a baby name. Some titles have to be earned!

Well it could be seen as respectable or honorable depending on how one chooses to see it but for myself I don't really like titles as names. I don't hate the name though.

Not everyone has to like the name and say wonderful comments on it just because it's your sons name. Everyone has a different opinion and if that's your attitude then you shouldnt say anything negative towards a name in case it's someone's name.

I've met an adult Major and I've only heard it on Major Harris, TI's son and Major Garrett the journalist. I personally think the name is a bit tacky but I don't hate it like other noun-names like Maverick.

Whoa, I had no idea Major was in the Top 500! I've been on Nameberry for maybe a year now and have never encountered it before, nor have I ever met anybody in real like with this name before either.
