Really like this alternative spelling of Karen. I had vague memories of reading or hearing somewhere that Caron had different roots to Karen, but maybe I was wrong, and it's just an alternative spelling. It's an attractive one, anyway. I think that Karen and its variants will come back into style in the future. They would be very usable right now, and refreshing to hear on a baby/child, at a time when the name is not at the height of its popularity. The fact that Karen is part of the Catherine/Katherine family, and that many of those names are still so popular, is a point in its favour, so I definitely see it as a name that will be used more, once again, in the future.
