If she acts up, you could nickname her "Drama"

This has always been a childhood favorite from Clash of the Titans. The actress who played the part in the original version was so beautiful. It does sound like a virus to me now with The Andromeda Strain. But I love nn Andy from Pretty in Pink. And the fact that I am Greek helps too. This is just a lot of name paired with our long last name. But I find it elegant and charming and well suited for today's naming world.

I love it. Unique and beautiful. It could be perceived as "girly" but also as a tomboy name. It's so flexible. In short, a lovely name! The only flaw is it would be really hard for a little child to spell.

This is usable, with a nickname like Andie or Annie. I love it so, so much.

This is could be an inventive way to honor the name Ann or Anna. The nickname Annie would be super cute.

I love the name Andromeda! So strong yet ethereal. I definitely think of the galaxy with its spiral arms of infinite stars.... It fits in the "bold, historied, unique" name category along with Minerva, Ursula, Ariadne, Isolde and many other favorites of mine. The Andromeda Tonks character does make the name a bit more accessible, as do the many available nicknames.

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan so that defiantly makes this name so much better. Besides the woman who raised Nyphadora Tonks has to be awesome.

Lovely name! As a Harry Potter fan, I definitely think of Andromeda Tonks in association to this name. Points that Andromeda has going for it: it's long and frilly, while also sounding badass and spunky, has roots in mythology and astronomy. It also has many fun nicknames you can choose from: Ando, Romy, Meda, or anything you make of it.

She could go by Andie or Romy.

I'm an Andromeda. No middle name. i went by Andi as a young girl (some family members still call me that) but changed it to Anne in junior high. I've never met another one.

Very Shakespearean but I'd never in a million years use it.

I've loved this one for a while especially for the galaxy connection, but I'm not in love with the nickname choices--although I just realized that "Dreamy" is an option :)
