Zahra means the shining one in Arabic and was the title Lady Fatima of daughter of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) - in Turkish the name is spelled as Zehra while Zehra is in database it isn't stated that the two names are related

This is a bit closer to the Arabic "flower" than Zara, which I like. In Arabic it is more of an emphasis on the ZAH-rah instead of the pronounciation of Zara the clothing store. Using as a name in English though, Zara pronunciation makes more sense.

Zahra's meaning is "brilliant, bright." ZahraH means "blooming flower."

Seriously, this site ought to research the names in its database.

I'm more familiar with Zara - I'd put an extra sound in when saying Zahra (for the H ) Would that be right?

This is my name, and I sometimes face misspellings.
Zara
Zarah
Zahrah
and God forbid, Jara.
But hey, this name gives you a guaranteed compliment, so I'd always introduce as Zahra over my first name when I want a more familiar approach ^^
