I keep coming back to this name. There are so many I love more, but while my favorites change day to day Tessa stays mysteriously intriguing to me. It reminds me of the feelings I had toward my daughter, Melody's name. Like there is so many that I love more but there's is just something special about it that I can't get out of my head. I wouldn't be suprised in the least if I have anything daughter in the future named Tessa.

This is my given name. I plan to change it as soon as it's an option. It seems a lot of people like it, but...I really don't. Not for me.

I found the name on a different website and it says it comes from the the Greek word tessera meaning 'four'. My husband suggested it and it's quickly growing on me if our second baby, fourth family member, is a girl.

I absolutely love this name!! We have a Tessa Claire and we are constantly getting compliments on her name. I love how this name is recognizable, but not overly popular. I also love that it is a simple name and she will never have to spell her name for anyone :)

I named my daughter "Tessa" 4 1/2 years ago, and get an awestruck response from people. Like, audible gasp,"What a beautiful name." I like that I can drop the A at the end for the more casual "Tess" and it still is a cool name. In addition, it's a recognizable and phonetically-spelled name, but uncommon enough to make her stand out.

I also love that I can envision a Tess or a Tessa as almost any kind of personality or in almost any career field. It's a name that suits a child, a teenager, and a professional adult.

I have never for a second regretted the name I chose for my daughter.
