I would just have Scottie.

I agree. I would expect it to be unisex but, if anything, more of a male name. I have a cousin named Scott. It's funny, because I used to think, when I was a kid, that Scotland was spelt with a double "t", because that's how the name Scott is spelt. But yeah, Scott could be a nickname for this, which definitely makes it feel masculine to me.

I only just hear of Scotland, but I do quite like it. If Holland is an acceptable name, why not Scotland. I think the name Scottie is cute, but think Scotlyn is ATROCIOUS!

This is actually a beautiful name. I'm disappointed it's being used by a Kardashian, but that is not going to lessen my opinion of it. I would prefer that the parents actually visit Scotland before using it, though!

Scotlyn???? Please, don't.

Couldn't this be a boy's name too? Why is it only listed as a girls' name? Scotland could be a long form of Scott or something.

Zelliew Says:

I wouldn't use a country as a name for my child

Cute unisex name! I prefer it as a meaningful middle though, rather than a first name. Although the nickname Scottie is extremely cute!
