Love this name, but the only thing I can think of is the phrase "ix-nay on the upid-stay"

I think Nyx or Night would be good middle names.

thought the list of vowels in elementary school that I learned was "A, E. I, O, U, and sometimes Y" must be mistaken....

The most powerful and aggressive three letters. ever.

It's also slang for cancel or negate in English, i.e. "Nix that"

'Nix' is slang for 'nothing' in German....but maybe as a middle name?

There is a vowel, actually... Nyx is pronounced like Nix, the "i/y" is the vowel.

Living outside of the USA I see that there there can be a lot of things it can reference or have a neg. connotation. But I adore this name, the meaning...it's strong and powerful and so many girl names aren't...

Love it but I wouldn't dare. I'd name a pet this though, with Nixie as a nickname.

This is a cute name that I can actually picture working pretty well. Go big or go home, right?

Although I find it an awesome name for a character, I don't think it would work all that well on a person. There's obvious English word connotation, as well as the fact that Nyx, in Greek mythology, she's the mother of Death. Go with Nixie instead.

There's no vowels... names need vowels imo.

I love the name and think it has a beautiful meaning, but because of the football team sound-alike, I would use it.
