Mickel-angelo is much, much closer to the proper pronunciation than "Michael Angelo". Michael Angelo frankly is flat out wrong.

Leonardo Da Vinci was the greatest genius who ever lived and Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the best actors of modern times but people act like Michelangelo is too much to bear because he was a great sculptor? I don't think that's fair.

I knew a girl in Highschool who named her son Michealangelo. It sounds strange out of context but put to the actual kid it was pretty adorable. She called him Mikey for short!

I like Michael and Angelo but I'm not a big fan of the two stuck together.

I agree, he was such a gifted artist, easily one of the greatest that has ever lived. Brilliant namesake.

I think its wonderful and the association is not terrible, Michelangelo wasn't an axe murder but a sculptor. Better role model than most!

I think of the turtle before the sculptor!
