I used this name for a surfer dude on a story that I wrote years ago, and now I can’t stop seeing it as a perfect name for a surfer guy character.

Love the spare, simple sound of this name, and the connection to director Von Trier.

it is also used in Germany. Here it is pronounced with a normal s at the end. Like indiefendi2 said it rhymes with Mars. Also because the "a" is longish.

If you pronounce it the Swedish way it rhymes with marsh, if you pronounce it the Danish way it rhymes with Mars. Either way it's growing on me. I even think Larsie is very cute for a girl. 😋
