I agree with you; what is feminine about "KEN-uh-dee"? It has Ken and Ned in it, and only hard sounds.

Impwood Says:

I agree with @Britt/Bratt ; an unfortunate physical characteristic isn't too wretched a meaning; I would say that "sorrow" (Bronagh) or "warlike" (Marcel) would be much worse.
If you had a child named Kennedy and he discovered the meaning and thought it was undesirable, it would be a good lesson in teaching him all the good qualities someone with a misshapen head might have; love and courage and bravery and loyalty and compassion. Maybe his head even became misshapen in his heroic deeds. It doesn't mean that anybody named Kennedy DID have a misshapen head; don't take it literally, but consider the meaning symbolic for somebody who is willing to let go of their physical appearance for the sake of doing good.

Britt/Bratt Says:

I honestly don't find Kennedy that masculine, so that's probably why.

Britt/Bratt Says:

No. It's not the best meaning, but it isn't offensive or vulgar. I would check and see if the name has any other meanings as well. I don't think it is a deal breaker, but it depends on how much you care about a name's meaning. Some people care more than others.

Jessica Says:

Is this unusable because of the unfortunate meaning?

Hylian Wizard Says:

I really don't undersand how such a masculine name became trendy for girls. Sad. I only like Kennedy as a boy name.

literatevegetarian Says:

What a hysterical meaning!
