This is a lovely name! I prefer it to Damian as well. It is the perfect balance of cute, handsome and sophisticated. I think it grows nicely as well, right next to Marius and Sylvain on my list! I love it for the Saint as well. Brilliant name!

Morri Arty Says:

I ADORE this name and both of the spelling variations.

I prefer the Damian spelling to Damien because I find the -a in there makes the name seem more accessible and clear and sweet, while Damien weighs the name down a bit more, though it does have more sophistication and gravitas with the -e spelling (I feel the same with all the Julian-Julien, Lucian-Lucien, Sebastian-Sebastien options). With either variant, Damian is a lovely name that I think would be ideal as a well-known, but not hugely popular choice.

I prefer Damon.

I much prefer this spelling to the alternative Damian. I think the E instead of A makes it look and feel more sophisticated. I think this name is very elegant.
