I love it!

paulapuddephatt Says:

I prefer this alternative spelling, and I rarely say that. Alayna looks so pretty, and the phonetic spelling actually helps the name to be pronounced correctly.

paulapuddephatt Says:

I really like the name, and this spelling.

Alayna Fletcher Says:

I'm weirded out that people think this spelling is ugly. I used to hate any other spelling of my name, ( and I'm still biased of it) but.... It's not even ugly... If you have a thing against y's then that's your own personal vendetta.

Daiseymae Says:

I think it is gorgeous.

CupcakeGirl13 Says:

I dont really like names like Alyssa or Allie, but Alayna is sooo cute! I prefer this spelling much more then Alana or Elena. I dont know why.

mamaleah25 Says:

We named our daughter this because we wanted a sweet sounding but beautiful name for our baby girl. We liked the spelling because we want her named pronounced with an A, as in Ah-lay-na not Elaina. Although it was hard choosing between an I or Y. The Y is prettier when her name is hand written. Plus, its an Irish name and my husband is Irish. We choose Mae as her middle name, after my moms middle name. Alayna Mae's brother is Nathaniel Lee and he calls her "Nah-way-na". LOL, he is only 3yrs old and cant pronounce it yet. I love the name and it is a perfect fit for our sweet and goofy Southern bell.
Also, we were hoping this spelling would decrease the chance of her name being mispronounced, but ppl still get it wrong! Not many ppl know how to spell her name after hearing it.

This is a pretty name, I'm surprised by all the rude and negative comments.

Guest Says:

Sorrry if I sounded rude I just really dislike the spelling. I prefer Elena is all.

Theodora_Phoenix Says:

I don't think it's TOO bad. I was just confused at first. It's a fine name. : )

faithnamer Says:

I think it's a beautiful name too! Too bad there are rude comments on here.

Kristin Says:

THIS name has been around for years. It's my middle name (i'm 36), my godmother's middle name (she's in her 50s) and now it's my daughter's first name. It's a beautiful name.

Theodora_Phoenix Says:

I don't like it either but I think Camryn is worse and so is.... *shudders* .... Kamryn. Don't forget Reignbow, Jaxson and Jaxen (must say I like Jaxon though(

Guest Says:

It looks like it's supposed to be a variation of Elena. Eww I hate it.

Theodora_Phoenix Says:

Eh, not bad.

Guest Says:

I hate this more than "Camryn". *winces*

Update: it's just the spelling I detest. Stick with Elena in my opinion.
