I know a September! She has a daughter named January!

How is this just a girl's name? If anything, it's unisex.

Yara Says:

I love the association with the "Earth, Wind, and Fire" song.

RoddyThlayli Says:

Love this on either gender! Tem, Tember or Ember are adorable nicknames, and (for boys), Tim would make it sound way more normal.

PineWarrior Says:

I love 'Ember' or 'Tem' as a nickname, and I love the associaion to 'The Girl who Circumnavigated Fairyland'. Squeeze your eyes tight and imagine every perfect and beautiful crisp day piled together into one, the world flaming with ruby leaves and gentle cool breezes. September. I love this name~

mabyn Says:

After I read the book "the girl who circumvented fairyland in a ship of her own making" I was tempted to name my next daughter September. Especially since my first is Alice. Two girls who take a trip to a magical land. I don't think I would, but if I saw it on another little girl I'd swoon.

Tems Lesser Says:

This is my name (September Elise Lesser) and even though I reaaaally hated it when I was little, I actually like it now. I shortened it when I was in school and went by Tems (still do casually) but I introduce myself as September and always get a compliment.

winnie Says:

Agreed. I like this name for a boy.

AnonymousPerson Says:

If this is a name at all, it should be a boy's name in my opinion.

mabespark Says:

Just saw this and, though I don't think I would use is on a child, it would make a killer character name.

Hydra Says:

September makes me think of surrender.....not the best association.

This is one of the month names I don't like. The other ones I dislike are January, February, and May. But all the others are cool.
