I really like this name, I don’t love it yet but it’s definitely my style. It is definitely a great alternative to Sarah, although I actually like both.

My mom's name! It was always mispronounced when she was growing up, though (she pronounced it like Sarah).

Lovely, unusual name with a really striking sound.

I still prefer Sarah, but this is a beautiful alternative. I believe that God changed the name to Sarah, not Sara. They are not interchangeable. Here in the UK, although Sara is occasionally used as a different spelling of Sarah, it is generally viewed as a different, connected name, pronounced as per Cara, Lara, Tara and Zara. I hope that those examples help, as can't be sure that all of those names are pronounced the same, in USA and worldwide.
