I'm a Kaylee, and to be completely honest? Having the name Kaylee sucks. People always think you're saying Katie or Kylie (I've also gotten Chloe somehow???), or they say it like KALE-y when it's KAY-lee. Your name is constantly being spelled wrong, even though it's spelled the way it sounds. Kaylee is a childish name, past age 18 the name Kaylee isn't professional.

It's an okay name. Nothing really special about it's just a meh name. Plain and boring

It is a really cute name, but I can't imagine an elderly lady being called this name. Cutesy-poo.

I like this name, but much prefer the Kayleigh spelling, because of the association with the Marillion song.

In my opinion, I like how Kaylee looks, might be because it's how I spell it lol. It's spelt how it sounds "kay" "lee".

My name is Kaylee, people always pronounce it "Kylie" and I'm not sure why. It is literally spelt "Kay" "lee". I'm seeing comments saying "it's best spelt caileigh" and although there is nothing wrong with that I just don't understand, why should there be a "best way to spell something" when it's going to sound the same anyway. I understand some people say it doesn't look right spelt as Kaylee or that people should keep the names Kay and lee separate, but why does it matter so much? Kaylee in my opinion is a pretty way to spell it and it is spelt the way it sounds, so instead of saying something is spelt wrong can't we just agree that all the ways are pretty?

Normally I'm not a big fan of trendy names or double e endings, but I do have a soft spot for Kaylee. Part of that is Kaylee from Firefly, another is that I know someone who is really cool named Kaylee.

I've always seen the KAI-lee pronunciation spelled Kylie or Kylee and the KAY-lee pronunciation spelled Kayley or Kaylee.

raevynstar Says:

I've never known which pronunciation is 'right'--I've heard it said both KAI-lee (rhymes with lie) and KAY-lee. (rhymes with day).

For some reason this name doesn't appeal to me. The spelling looks wrong, the double e at the end seems awkward

I think this every time I see the name Kaylee (in any of it's many spellings!), none of them look right, they all look like weird, creative spellings of the original. I think Kayley is the best version I've seen, maybe because of it's likeness to Hayley?

Catastroffy Says:

To be precise, it does.

It might work better as two names... Kay and Lee?

My favorite character on Firefly was Kaylee, so I think of her when I hear the name. It makes me think of someone who is very cheerful and optimistic.

unicornluvgirl Says:

It's okay. It seems like a misspelling, but what WOULD be the right spelling? Kayly? That looks worse.
