I don't even believe this is a misspelling of Jackson, mostly because of the added T.. I think it's "Jax" (a newish nickname for Jackson) plus -ton, to ride on the trends of names like Paxton, Ashton, Dayton, etc. IAnd no, I'm not defending the name, just trying to explain how it may have come about.

Uhh this spelling hurts my eyes! Parents that name their son this are trying to hard to be "unique" with such an overused name. Jackson is nice and looks better written down. Jaxton doesn't look professional or cool at all.

I cannot stand this spelling. It hurts my tongue to say "Jaxton". Jackson is ok, go with that.
