Love Eben! A bazillion times more wearable than Ebenezer. I think it could definitely catch on.

I know someone called Eben, and he pronounces it like Ben with an E (as in the sound in Edward) before it. And the emphasis is on the E not the ben. I guess it depends where you're from.

I would actually really like Ebenezer, if it weren't completely and irrevocably unusable because of Scrooge. Eben is a nice, modern-sounding compromise.

Eben is a lovely name. There is something pure about it. The 'E' being soft, like (e) Evan but not hard like (ee) Ethan, which are also beautiful names. Oddly it has been playing in my mind which is how I found this page online.

Affable and creative, another perfect nameberry description. I'd name a son Eben and call him Benji at home.

Is this pronounced like Eden with a b or like Evan with a b?
