considering this for our coming third boy. Its a great name...classic, romantic but masculine. And not over used. It also works in most western countries. A solid international choice.

Is it are-mand or are-mond?

I have two minds about Armand. On one hand it's a very dashing and romantic, yet also an upright buttoned-up sounding name, plus it's unusual and rather old-ish but ripe for use today. And on the other all I see and hear are the words "arm and"! But I think it's not such a big issue, since I'd (and I think most people?) pronounce it like "AR-mend" and not "ARE-MAND" anyway. I still really like Armand, since the nickname Armie is adorable, and I've been rather swayed by how well the actor Armie Hammer wears his name :)
