About Mem
A sweet, cosy nickname that may appeal to those who like Mimi, Clem, Jem, Leni, and Em, Mem has been used historically as a nickname for the Puritan names Remember and Remembrance, but it has also been used for Merritt, Marrion, Memphis, Miriam, and Emmeline. A unisex choice that leans masculine in Portuguese, it has very occasionally been used as a full name, as in the case of actor Mem Ferda.
