Ailan for girls

A unisex Chinese name with two nature related meanings: "love orchid" or "friendly, lush mountain mist". The floral character combination is notably used for girls, and appears in the novel Lady Tan's Circle of Women by Lisa See.

Ailan may occasionally be used as an alternative to Ailani, Aileen, or Aylin (meaning "high chief", "shining light" and "of the moon" respectively).
