SouthernPeach Says:

Evelina could get Ellie, Elle, Ellen/Ellin, Ella, Ina, Eva, and, all the others ceruleanstardust said.

sofiaishere Says:

I would say its uglier when pronounced like Eev Lina. Eh ver lina flows so much better.

fromtheocean12 Says:

This name is so beautiful and sounds like it was made for a princess. (Princess Evelina sounds so perfect!) I love Ev- names so I love Eve, Evie, and Eva as nicknames, but think Vivi, Via, and Lina are beautiful too.

Ruanne Says:

It's more like the Spanish would pronounce it. Ay-va-LEE-na.

Ruanne Says:

This one's probably going to go up! It's very pretty.

ceruleanstardust Says:

You could use Evs (prn. Ehvs), Ever, Linnie, Evvie (prn. Ehv-ee), Vee, Verlie, Via and Eva for nicknames. Via is my personal favourite.

ceruleanstardust Says:

You could use Evs (prn. Ehvs), Ever, Lia, Linnie, Evvie (prn. Ehv-ee), Vee, Verlie, Lina and Li for nicknames. I do think you could still get away with Eve, Evie and Eva though, it's not too much of a stretch.

Rosie2525 Says:

If kids are going to be bullies, trust me; They will pick on a kid with ANY name! I would think it's pronounced Evah-Leena. I think it's a beautiful name :)

Smollie Says:

I love this name. My only gripe is I don't like the nicknames you get with this name. I don't like Eve or Evie (I knew too many of them as a child) and I'm not a fan Lina. If people didn't instinctively shorten children's names, I would use this name.

Daiseymae Says:

I love it now.

LRC1980 Says:

I thought this would be pronounced Eeev Lina rather than Ever Lina. What do you shorten it to? Eve doesn't work. It's ugly when pronounced correctly and the kids at school would definitely call her devil-ina :(

ladimon Says:

I love the meaning of this 💕

paulapuddephatt Says:

I find that way more natural too, even though I am English. I love both ways, also.

paulapuddephatt Says:

Simply beautiful, with Eve or Evie for short

kxlly0614 Says:

Since I am not from an english speaking country, the Eh-veh-lina pronunciation seems more 'natural' to me because of my language than Ee-veh-lina. But both ways, this name is very pretty and I find it a great choice!

Daiseymae Says:

I think it is all right, but I agree I like Eveline better.

Theodora_Phoenix Says:

This name should be right up my alley, but I just don't really have liking for it. I much prefer Eveline, though as I say with so many names, that doesn't mean I think Evelina is bad. I just have a personal preference.

FantasyandPrayer Says:

So, so, so pretty!!!!

SoDallas3 Says:

Evelina makes me think of a fairy princess! She feels European and mystical, the kind of sprite that you'd find in the Black Forest, in a crown of wildflowers.
I vastly prefer Evelina to Evelyn. She breathes fresh air into the Eve- names for me.

britney d Says:

Evelina is a very pretty name! Ev-uh-Leen-NUh.

"Evil"ina is what I see.
