Elihu was the name of my grandfather's grandfather. It's saddled with the problem that it's so rare these days that almost nobody remembers how it's actually pronounced. Most people who make the attempt say it like the name "Elijah" but with a "hoo" at the end, which to me is unpleasant sounding. My grandfather, who would have known, pronounced it "ELL-a-hew," which is much better.
