I think this is could really work. Not without a few obstacles perhaps, but it's definitely usable.
For the record, Pascal is not an alternative female name to Easter; Pascal is a boy's name. Pascale is the female version. It has the same pronunciation.

Is it pronounced Ester or like the holiday Easter? The latter, ummm no. I do like Ester, but would spell it without the "a". IMO if your kid's name needs phonics for someone to figure it out, you are trying too hard.
