In Shakespeare's The Tempest, Caliban is the name of the deformed son of a witch: not the greatest literary reference for a child. Good sounding name, however Taliban and of course the monstrous, raping, barbaric Shakespeare character is all I can think of. If you are considering this as a name, read The Tempest, and keep in mind it is commonly read as a part of 7th or 8th grade literature curriculum in many states.

It might work fine with uneducated people, but not so well with those who know their Shakespeare.
