We named our son Barnabas because of the meaning, not some tv show character. We love it, and it suits him very well!

I wouldn't name my son Barnabas, but I would name him Bas, pronounced like Bass, as a derivation of Barnabas.

Barnabas? Um...no. "Barn bus" and Barney are all I can think of. It also has the same air about it as Barbara, a name that I don't like at all.
