I only classify it as being overrated because I see so many fans everywhere, but I agree with your point that the character isn't a bad association. Much better than the association with Jezebel or Delilah...

(Of topic but I love your username, Evelin Rose is a really pretty combo lol)

EvelinRose Says:

Percy Jackson isn't overrated at all. You've probably only seen the movies, which have about as little to do with the plot of the series as butterflies do with bears. Annabeth Chase is one of the strongest characters in the whole series, and would be a lovely association~

I quite like this name. Though I would never use it because I don't want to look like I read the Percy Jackson books, which are so overrated. I think it has the elegance of Elisabeth and the lovely simplicity of Anna.

What a stunning beauty!

I have an Annabeth and it is a lovely name. Her nickname is Annabee.

I like smoosh names as long as there's no random capitalization. Annabeth is lovely, but AnnaBeth is not.

Bad Wolf Lupin Says:

This is a very nice sounding swoosh-name! I don't think of it too much as a frilly name, but more as a strong female like Annabeth Chase from the Percy Jackson books.

headintheclouds Says:

I typically don't like smoosh "made-up" names, but I do really like Annabeth, which sounds frilly, Southern-charming and spirited. I first encountered this (as many have) in the Percy Jackson middle-grade book series, and I associate the name with a spunky, intelligent, brave personality like the character in the book, Annabeth Chase.

I love Annabeth with the nickname Abie (prn. AY-bee) or AB. Like Annabeth Nass on Hart of Dixie. :)

One of the few smoosh names that seems authentic and which I like. It's very pretty without being sickly sweet.
