This doesn't really fit my personal taste but it's still lovely.

Feels like less of a mouthful than Alexandra. I hate how Alexandra feels in my mouth, it feels very chunky and bulky. Alessandra feels better in my mouth.

I love this name, but all the nicknames - Allie, Sandy, Alice - sound so "bleh" to me.

I really having a liking for the name Alessandra; it has a soft sound but a tough image. It always reminds me of some sort of a warrior princess type. I think my one scruple with using this name is nicknames - Allie would be typically used for this name and it's an overused nickname which I don't particularly like. But I'm sure finding an alternative nickname would be easy as pie. Love this!

When I first heard this name on Alessandra Ambrosio back in like 08 I thought "Alessandra with two s's, I've never heard that before" but now I'm in love with the name. It's one of the prettiest in the world. She goes by Ale which is cute!

Sandy is an adorable nickname for Alessandra that I never thought of before.

Poppy Says:

I love this name. I wanted to name my daughter Alice, but I thought that this was a bit old-fashioned. So I found Alessandra, and it is so beautiful and soft. I think Alexandra sounds to harsh has the hideous masaculine nickname Alex. But Alessandra has Alice, Alessa, Ally, Alessia, Lessi, Lissy, and even Alex and Lexi, if you had to have that. And even if the baby is a tomboy who thinks Alessandra is a bit to frilly, they can always go by Sandy.
