Babyberry Roundup: The fourth quarterly report of 2012
And now we come to the 2012 final quarter round-up of the names that Berries have actually chosen after all their various options were considered and discussed, on our forums and in the outside world. And once again, it’s a gorgeous group, with many great first and middle combos and equally intriguing sibsets.
The most popular choices reported on the Birth Announcement forums between October 1st and December 31st were: Violet (3), Audrey (2), Beatrix (2), Eleanor (2), Eva (2), Matilda (2), Archer (2), Felix (2), Henry (2), and Jonah (2).
Tomorrow we’ll be taking a look at the whole year’s results—the most widely used first and middle names, as well as all the triplet and twin name choices.

Always interesting! Does anyone know if this roundup just includes US parents? I put our son’s name on the birth announcement forum and it didn’t appear, we’re in Australia.
maggiemary Says:
Some really stunning names here. My favorite sibset is Cecily Margaret, Juliet Adelaide, Elias Octavian and Helena Daphne. WOW.
sarah15 Says:
Funny how names comeback around, I noticed one of the boys has a sister named Lola May, which is my grandmother’s name!
pam Says:
Cbuxton, no, it’s all Nameberry parents. Please send it to me at pam@nameberry.com and I will be sure to add it — must be an oversight! Sorry!

Eleanor, Imogen, Beatrice, and Leopold?!?!?

Anyone brave enough to use Leopold is a win in my book! (And Imogen! <3)

I wish Nameberry had been around when I was born- back in the late ’90s. Then, maybe my parents could have picked a wonderful name like these!
GrecianErn Says:
My favorite Twin sets:
Lily Charlotte Grace and Emma Scarlett Paige
*I Love the 4 letter first names, the matching (but not) middle names with the same sound and “tte” ending.
Eleanor Ivy and Matilda Snow
*these 2 just blew me away. I remember sharing them with my sister when they popped up on Facebook.
So many of my current faves are on this list.
I liked so many of these sib sets and names that I actually posted this whole blog to Facebook – a first for me.

I’m really impressed! I don’t see a single manly name on the girls side and the boys side is a really good mix!
Taz Says:
I want twins named Ramona & Bernadette! Amazing!
katybug Says:
Two uses of Atlas as a middle and I know of a newborn with it as a first–it seems like this name came out of nowhere. Is there a cultural reference I’m missing?
LexieM Says:
Love the list. Nameberry parents definitely have got style.
Mcdonak1 Says:
Hello to the new Beatrix moms! My Bea loves her name (or at least she responds to it, which at age 1, I’ll take as loving it), and I hope that yours does, too.
Also, Eleanor Ivy and Matilda Snow are so brilliant that my stomach fluttered when I read them.
There are too many other great ones to list them all, but Lucy Adelaide and Kit as a boy nickname get a thumbs up from me.
And to the above poster… I wonder if the movie Atlas Shrugged had something to do with it? That’s the only recent Atlas reference that I can think of. Even if people weren’t into the movie, it might have brought the name more into popular consciousness.
judithaldana Says:

Great names everyone! Don’t see my little one’s name on here so want to add Cora Olive to the list, sister to Milo Thomas.
