Baby girls - guilty pleasures of mine

Those are the names I love but would be hesitant to use them on a character, pet or child because of them being too whimsical, too tied to one person or simply not traditionally feminine.
  1. AlaskaHeart
    • Origin:

      Native American
    • Meaning:

      "great land"
    • Description:

State name Alaska stems from an Aleutian word for the land mass itself. The number of baby girls named Alaska has doubled in the past five years, and is sure to continue increasing as more place names are annexed as baby names. Wilder but as habitable as Dakota or Cheyenne, Alaska is a girls' name choice for the future.
  2. Clothilde Heart
    • FranklinHeart
      • GretaHeart
        • Origin:

          German, diminutive of Margarethe
        • Meaning:

          "pearl"
        • Description:

Greta is an Old World name long tied to the iconic Garbo. Along with other Old Hollywood glamour names, Greta seems to be showing slight signs of a comeback; it was chosen by David Caruso and by Phoebe Cates and Kevin Kline for their daughters.
      • HillaryHeart
        • Origin:

          Latin from Greek
        • Meaning:

          "happy, cheerful"
        • Description:

Hillary is a lovely name that, for the moment at least, is tightly bound to an individual with a strong image: Hillary Clinton. Whatever your feelings about Mrs. Clinton, her fame now dominates the name, making it feel less baby-ready than it deserves to be. Hillary as a name has so much going for it: the popular, rhythmic three-syllable structure, the fact that it's strong but light, proper but jaunty, with an irresistible meaning -- having the same root as hilarious. The Italian Ilaria may be one way to make the name fresh.
      • JezebelHeart
        • Origin:

          Hebrew
        • Meaning:

          "not exalted"
        • Description:

Jezebel, the wife of King Ahab in the Hebrew Book of Kings, has long had a bad girl reputation. But in the modern secular world, this is somewhat mitigated by the feminist perspective of her as a strong woman, the power behind the throne. Previously avoided as a baby name, Jezebel is now, along with the also previously avoided Delilah and Desiree, coming into use, helped by its relation to other 'bel' name such as Isabel and Bella.
      • MadrigalHeart
        • Origin:

          Latin
        • Meaning:

          "song for unaccompanied voices"
        • Description:

Madrigal might be a pretty and highly distinctive choice for a child of a musical family--or for the parent looking for a less conventional path to the nickname Maddie than Madeline or Madison . Definitely more striking than Cadence or even the increasingly popular Aria.
      • MiracleHeart
        • Origin:

          Latin
        • Meaning:

          "wonder, marvel"
        • Description:

A recently popular spiritual name that entered the Top 500 in 2003.
      • NefertariHeart
        • Origin:

          Ancient Egyptian
        • Meaning:

          "beautiful companion"
        • Description:

Nefertari Meritmut was the first and favorite wife of pharoah Ramesses II "the Great". She was highly educated and undertook important diplomatic work on behalf of her husband, corresponding with other prominent figures and even making speeches.
      • OprahHeart
        • Origin:

          Hebrew variation of Orpah
        • Description:

The misspelling that created an indelibly one-person name.
