The top baby names in Canada in 2024 were Olivia as the Number 1 girl name for the ninth year running, and Noah in top place for boys for the fourth year.
Along with Olivia, other popular Canadian girl names include Charlotte, Emma, Amelia, and Sophia. As well as Noah, popular boy names include Liam, Theodore, Leo, and William. The top five names remain the same as the previous year, with minor swaps in position.
Canada's favorite baby names are in many ways similar to those in the USA, but also reflect its diverse population. For example, French names like Alice, Florence, Félix, and Gabriel rank highly because of their popularity with Quebecois parents.
