I love Romy! That was the name of a young dance instructor I had as a kid, and she was, to me, the epitome of cool and beautiful and kind. I named a favorite doll after her. It’s a great nickname for Rosemary or Rosemarie. (Which are gorgeous names in their own right!)

Most of these names are not my style, but I do really like Lulu (as a nickname for Lucy or Louisa), Magnolia, and Snow.

I discovered Vesper here on Nameberry, and it quickly became one of my favorites. I love both the sound and the meaning. I also adore Indigo (especially with nickname Indie) and Romy. Wilder is another up and coming fave of mine, but more for a girl than a boy. I’m all for powerful names for girls that encourage them to be wild and free and loud, especially in this day and age.

Love: Bee, Booker, Fox, Lionel, Quincy and Wilder…especially Bee and Fox.
The name Story is just so NOT cool to me. Story, Fable, Journey, etc. are probably my least favorite group of names.

I love Lulu, but I still can’t decide if I prefer it on its own or as a nickname for Luna.
I also love Indigo, but it’s pretty different from the other girl names I like, so I don’t know if I would use it. Maybe!

The names that really stand out are Oz, Indigo, Delilah and Zen. Somehow, it feels like they blend very well together. Simple, intriguing, meaningful and very cool!

I won’t be surprised if Indigo will be the next trendy colour name, a la Scarlet and Violet. It’s very pretty

Yeah, no – Oz has not “shed its ‘Wizard of Oz’ connection.” I’m not Jewish, so I’m out of the loop on popular Hebrew names, but Oz means ‘Wizard of…’ and ‘Australia’ to me. It’s a cute little name or nickname, but it has strong connections in pop culture.
