A lot of boring negative nancys on here. First of all, its not just a comic book name, its also the name of an animal. If its ok to name your child Robin, Raven, or even Wolf, why not Wolverine?
I just looked it up and its an incredibly strong animal that can apparently kill prey much larger than itself. I think that's incredible and could be such a special meaning for a child's name. No matter your "size" or circumstance you can still be strong and come out a survivor.
Will I admit it's not quite ready to be a first name, I would absolutely consider it as a middle one. It could even work on a girl as the "ine" on the end makes it sound like a more feminine version of Wolf.
Any who each to their own and that's my 2 cents on it. You lot can stick with your boring "5 other children in the classroom" names if that's what makes you happy.

I suppose if you really like this name it might make a cool nickname for Wolf, Wolfgang or something along those lines.

If you're looking at the super hero, go with his known name of Logan nn Wolverine. If you're going for the animal association then maybe in the middle only.

I say don't name your son after the comic book character, but if you're giving him this name for its nature association, I think that's OK. Though I'd recommend you put it in the middle spot.

I'd rather take his real name James Logan Howlett than be this damn evil to a child. I just imagine a Wolverine graduating high school. The whole room would die laughing. It's not "cool" at all if that's what someone would think naming their poor son this.
