you can go by Delia, Ellie, Mimi, Effie, Evie, Eva, Ella, Dellie, Leaf, Efa, heck even Daisy or Adele. So many options.
I know a Madelief Winter who loves her name.

I love this so much. It just occurred to me that Madelief Catherine would be a beautiful combination. The only thing is that I really don't like "Maddie", and there's not really any other usable nicknames. (Leafy is the name of a YouTuber whom I've only heard bad things about.) But it's not really up to me when it comes to what nickname my future child wishes to go by, so this is still on the list. ^_^

I saw someone suggest Madelieve in the forums today. She said that she found it in an old poem.

I think maybe if it could be pronounced a bit more like Genevieve: Mad-uh-leave or something, then you could get the nickname Evie! Other cute nicknames could be Mimi, Efa, Adele, Ellie and Daisy.

Such a light, fresh, beautiful name! I'd use this in the middle as a striking alternative to Madeleine; it goes really well with a lot of names because its "-eef" ending is so unusual.

Actress Joanna Page has a daughter named Eva Madelief - I think that's a gorgeous combo!
