Although not related thru etymology (that I know of) this name might also be a great choice for parents fond of the Scottish-Gaelic girl's name Laoghaire (pronounced rather like the word "leary") made popular overseas by the Outlander books and television show as non-native speakers often struggle with correctly reading Gaelic pronunciation.
