Katarina is not a Czech name. It is a Slovak name. The version for the Czech Katarina is Kateřina...

I love this name, and it's my friend's name as well. We all call her Kat, and she doesn't mind. A lot of names face pronunciations problems and I think this name is too cool and pretty to pass up because of a little mispronunciation

Getting called Katrina is a risk with this name. I used to have a friend who was often called Katrina by people who misread her name (I remember she hated that). But it's such a beautiful name, I think it's well worth a little confusion.

This is one of my oldest friend´s name but everyone calls her Katty or Kat. Growing up she disliked it because no one could pronounce it and called her Katrina instead but now she likes it
