DearTheodosia Says:

I wouldn’t use this name myself. But it’s beautiful. Don’t let religious people dictate what you can or cannot name your child.

Yasmin Andries Says:

Why are you so offended? It's just a name. People have different opinions, stop being so offended for things that weren't said to you.

I'm a Banana Says:

Hell haha I love this comment.

fromtheocean12 Says:

People are allowed to have opinions about different names. If someone doesn't like your name, it doesn't mean you have to get super offended about it. My name is different and unique as well, since I'm Indian and have an Indian name, and I'm sure that there are people who aren't crazy about my name or don't like it as much as I do, but that doesn't mean that I get upset about it. It's all just a matter of opinion.

fromtheocean12 Says:

Just my opinion, but something about naming your child Heaven seems a bit extreme. I prefer Haven to Heaven. Someone brought up that Celia means "Heaven", but Celia isn't blatantly obvious about the meaning of the name. But I really dislike Nevaeh, even more than Heaven.

Yessica Says:

Personally just don't like the sound. Nothing against naming the kid this as i'm not religious.

RoddyThlayli Says:

I like the Welsh Hefina better-- it could easily be Anglicized as Hevina, and means "summer". Also, I feel like I should mention the Welsh boys name Hefin, which is pronounced almost the same as Heaven and also means "summer".

amberdaydream Says:

I'm not religious but I don't think it's a bad name. Celia means "heaven" and nobody jumps all over that for meaning a perfect place. I think it needs a more grounded middle name though, and for all intents and purposes I do prefer Haven.

actingfun Says:

I don't believe in heaven, so for me, it would kind of be like naming your kid Atlantis. Except the majority of people don't actually believe in Atlantis.

Zoey_Artemisia Says:

Personally nms, but if people name their kids after gods and goddesses, why not a spiritual place? Besides, not everyone believes in heaven.

Heaven Says:

Thank you!!! :)

Heaven Says:

Ha! I'm used to this. I JUST LOVE it when people hate on my name. You know... I don't know who you are, or why you think that the name Heaven or Neveah is so grotesque, but... I don't. I don't think that my name is horrible. I think it's unique. It says something about my character. No, I'm not perfect. No, I'm not the perfect place. But at least having expectations and a name that empowers me has driven me to do something bigger with my life.

Heaven Says:

I don't know who you are, but my name is Heaven. And, yes, it's a lot of pressure to be named after the "perfect place." You get high expectations out of people. You're expected to be perfect as well. But, honestly, when has having expectations been so bad? I'm proud of my name, and, yes, I've had to live my whole life with jerks telling me my name is stupid or unreasonable, but I think it's beautiful. It's different, and if people want to tear down people that are different, then I say shame on them. You say you "hate it when people name their children Heaven". I'm not surprised at all. People have said that to me my whole life. I'm done typing. Wow. Just... wow.

Guest Says:

I actually like Heaven. It's lovely.

Heaven Says:

ah this is nice.

lesliemarion Says:

Ah, hell. Both Heaven and Nevaeh are grotesque. Why not Inferno and Purgatory as well?

Theodora_Phoenix Says:

I totally agree.. I hate it when people name their children Heaven. Nobody deserves to be named after the most perfect place.

raevynstar Says:
